With the weather 🌞πŸ₯΅ the way it is there is nothing better than cooling 😎πŸͺ down in the paddling pool 🌊.

HOT HOT HOT πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯, no better place to spend today than at splash pad.
Today we remembered what we must do when it’s hot,
🚰Drink plenty,
πŸšΆπŸΌβ€β™€οΈWalk instead of run,
πŸ•ΆοΈStay in the shade and
🧴Keep applying suncream.

A hot πŸ₯΅ day spent down at the harbour πŸ›³οΈ viewing the Nao Santa Maria βš“οΈ with Rascals R Us Childcare and Ali’s.
We stopped in the shade for a picnic lunch🧺πŸ₯ͺπŸ‘πŸ‰πŸ‡πŸ…πŸ₯’πŸŒ½πŸ₯•πŸš°.
We took a short stroll πŸšΆπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸšΆπŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ, found some more shade for a spot of singing 🎀.

Today Little Learners along with Rascals R Us Childcare and Ali’s were incredibly lucky to be given the opportunity to use Polegate Grasshoppers FC πŸ’šβš½οΈπŸ’šhome ground Westlords.
We talked about being safe sun 🌞, wearing hats 🧒 applying sun cream 🧴, drinking plenty of water 🚰 and staying in the shade 🌳.
There were lots of activities to enjoy including magnetic blocks, streamers, football ⚽️, bubbles 🫧 and water play πŸ’¦.
Water play πŸ’¦ provides vital opportunities for sensory exploration πŸ‘οΈπŸ‘‚πŸ»πŸ‘ƒπŸ»πŸ‘‹πŸ», builds fine and gross motor skills 🀏🏽, introduces early mathematical βš–οΈ and scientific concepts πŸ§ͺ, and fosters social collaboration πŸ—£οΈ.

πŸ† Happy Fathers Day πŸ†

To our Little Learners daddies we hope you all have a wonderful day and enjoy a nice hot drink made for you in the cups your little ones made you πŸ’š.

Planting πŸͺ΄cress seeds was our focus activity today Eastbourne Extra in the community. with Rascals R Us Childcare and Ali.
Picking 🀏🏽 up tiny cress seeds and sprinkling them evenly onto the cotton wool refines fine motor 🀏🏽precision and hand-eye πŸ‘€ coordination.
Early learners discover the fundamental survival requirements of plants πŸͺ΄ by witnessing how seedlings need light β˜€οΈ and water πŸ’¦ to grow.
Children observe πŸ‘€ the rapid transformation from a dry seed into white roots, green stems 🌱, and leafy tops, making biological processes highly visible.

Today we navigated 🧭 the winding pathways, bridges πŸŒ‰, and expansive open parklands at National Trust Sheffield Park Garden., which builds physical confidence and spatial orientating skills.
We shared natural 🌳 experiences provoke vocabulary growth as the children described different textures, colours πŸ’œβ€οΈπŸ’›πŸ’šπŸ©· and sounds πŸŒŠπŸ¦† and scents πŸŒΈπŸ’πŸŒΌπŸŒ·πŸŒ»πŸŒΊπŸͺ»πŸͺ·.
Lastly we trailed through the woodland to navigate uneven terrains, climb πŸ§—πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈfallen trees, and clamber over tree stumps πŸͺΎ.
What a wonderful day we had filled with wonder and ore, shared with our friends from Rascals R Us Childcare.

As continues this is our reminder that babies and small children are most likely to drown at home in the bath or in the garden.

That's why our key message is to keep them in arm’s reach in water.

Many parents mistakenly believe bath seats will keep their baby safe, with potentially tragic consequences.

Please help us spread the message that bath seats are not safety devices.

We started our day at LITTLE LAMBS TODDLER GROUP EVERY WEDNESDAY 9.30-11.30 (TERM TIME ONLY) πŸ‘, where we enjoyed creative play πŸ‘©πŸ½β€πŸŽ¨, small world pirate ship playπŸ΄β€β˜ οΈ, climbing frame πŸ› and books to read πŸ“–.
As the sun was shining 🌞 we popped to EMSR Adventure Park for lunch πŸ₯ͺπŸŒπŸ“πŸπŸ’πŸ₯’πŸ₯‘πŸš°where we met with friends from Carolyn's Kiddies - Ofsted Registered Childminder and Ali’s.
After lunch we enjoyed a play in the play areas, active play like running πŸƒπŸΏβ€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈand climbing πŸ§—πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ builds core strength, stability, posture, balance βš–οΈ, and spatial awareness.

Self-feeding pillows can be deadly. That’s because the baby can’t push the bottle away, so can choke or suffer aspiration pneumonia.

Your baby needs you with them while they are feeding, so you can react if they start gagging or choking.

An urgent safety alert was issued for baby self-feeding pillows in 2022. But you can still buy them online.

Please avoid using anything that encourages you to leave your baby alone to feed with a propped-up bottle. And warn family and friends too.

To learn more about these and other dangerous baby products visit: https://capt.org.uk/10-baby-products-that-could-pose-serious-safety-risk/

And for tips on feeding multiples safely visit Twins Trust: https://twinstrust.org/advice-and-support/first-year/feeding-three-babies-at-once/ Alternatively, your health visitor or midwife may be able to offer advice on different feeding strategies.
