University of Brighton Weightlifting Club

Big congrats to 2 of our lifters Karina Bennett and Mario Turturici who competed at the University Team series at Bethnal Green yesterday representing the University of Brighton as a team for what we believe is the first time ever!

Karina (61kg BW) came 4th in her first comp and hit 40 sn**ch and 54 C&J. Mario (71.7kg BW) quailed for the British University and College Championships at his second comp with a total of 172 (75 sn**ch and 97 clean and jerk)!

Massive well done to these two we can’t wait to see what they can achieve in the next year💪🙌

We are please to announce that we are now an official British Weightlifting Club, this is a massive step forward for the club and we look forward to the future. Thank you to our coach Emma and all our members for your continued support and attendance at the sessions, without you this wouldn’t have happened! Big things to come, stay tuned🙌
