Welcome to East Preston village Preschool page. We are a Preschool located in the heart of East Preston Village. We are rated 'good' by Ofsted 2015.

We provide great care and learning opportunities for children aged 2 until they go to school, and our staff that have lots of experience and various qualifications. We are open term time only from 9-3pm. Please contact us if you would like any more information.

🌟 What a wonderful first week back at Preschool! 🌟

What a lovely week it has been welcoming back our returning children and saying a very special welcome to all of our new children and families!

The children have been busy settling into their new routines, getting to know their new friends and adults, exploring the environment and, most importantly, having lots of fun along the way!

We can’t wait to see what adventures the rest of the term brings! 🌱✨

Thanks to your generosity, the team enjoyed a lovely meal out together, the perfect way to celebrate the end of a fantastic year before the summer break.

Your kindness and support mean so much to us, and we are truly grateful for your generosity. Thank you for making us feel so appreciated and valued.

We hope all of our families have a wonderful summer. To those moving on to school, we wish you the very best as you begin your exciting new adventure, and to those returning, we can’t wait to welcome you back in the new term! ☀️

What a fun filled week we’ve had for our last week before the summer holidays! ☀️🎉

We’ve packed so much into the week, including nature walks, exciting science experiments, giant Jenga, kite flying, party games and making enormous bubbles, just to name a few of our adventures!

It’s been the perfect way to celebrate the end of another wonderful year together. Tomorrow is our final day before we break up for the summer, and it’s certainly been an emotional week as we’ve started saying goodbye to our children who will be heading off to school in September. We are so proud of each and every one of them and know they are ready for their next exciting adventure. 💛🌈

We hope all of our families have a fantastic, fun filled and relaxing summer, and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon!

This week we have loved meeting our new children who will be joining us in September. It has been wonderful getting to know everyone as they begin to settle into preschool, explore their new surroundings, and build confidence. We can’t wait to welcome them back!

We’ve also had a fun filled week practising for Sports Day, enjoying a visit to the beach, and baking some delicious apple crumbles. What a fantastic week of learning, exploring and making memories! 🌞🏖️🍎🏃‍♀️

🦖 This week at preschool, our children’s interest in dinosaurs inspired some wonderful in the moment learning!
The children enjoyed exploring dinosaur themed craft activities, using their creativity and imagination to make their own prehistoric creations!
Through child led play and learning, they developed fine motor skills, communication, and shared their knowledge and ideas about dinosaurs with their friends.
We love following the children’s interests and watching their learning grow through activities that excite and engage them! 🦕✨

We‘ve enjoyed hearing all about and seeing the children’s half term adventures! Thank you to all our families for sharing their wonderful photos, stories, and experiences with us.

Our older children have been focusing on school readiness activities, helping them to develop their independence, confidence, communication skills, and early learning skills as they prepare for their exciting transition to school.

It has been lovely to see all the children engaging, learning, and sharing their experiences with their friends. We are looking forward to another fun filled half term ahead!

☀️🌿 Outside Play at Preschool 🌿☀️

We love making the most of our outdoor space, exploring, learning and having fun in the fresh air. From climbing and balancing to imaginative games and teamwork, outdoor play is helping them build confidence, coordination and social skills while enjoying nature.

We love seeing their curiosity grow as they discover new challenges and create their own adventures outdoors. Every day outside is a chance to learn in a different way! 🌱

This week at preschool we had lots of fun exploring and learning through play 🌈💦

The children enjoyed water play, helping to develop their communication, teamwork, fine motor skills and understanding of cause and effect.

We also spent time completing puzzles, encouraging problem solving, concentration and perseverance 🧩

Our creative side came out with flower craft making, supporting fine motor development and giving the children a chance to express themselves creatively 🌸

The small world play sparked lots of imagination, storytelling and social interaction as the children explored different roles and scenarios together 😊

This week we’ve had a lovely mix of outdoor learning, creativity, and fun ☀️

🌱The children have loved spending time in our Forest School area, carefully planting and nurturing their summer plants. They’ve been getting hands on with the soil, learning how plants grow, and taking pride in looking after what they’ve planted. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence, curiosity, and teamwork flourish in the outdoor environment. 🌱

📚 Alongside this, we also enjoyed a visit from the book bus, which inspired lots of excitement and a love of stories 📚

🍞 The children got stuck into baking their own bread rolls, a brilliant hands on experience 🍞

☀️ To finish, we’ve had lots of fun with races out on the field, followed by some refreshing oranges to recharge our energy! 🍊

🚒 What an exciting visit today!

Our preschool children had a fantastic experience when the fire engine came to visit. They loved exploring the hose, trying on real firefighter uniforms, and even sitting inside the fire engine!

There was so much curiosity, excitement, and brilliant conversation about how firefighters help keep us safe. A wonderful hands-on experience that brought our “People Who Help Us” topic to life.
