ππΆ Our little learners enjoyed exploring space through stories and songs! πβ
The children loved listening to space-themed books, joining in with familiar rhymes, and singing lots of fun songs about planets, rockets, and stars. Through storytelling and music, the children used their imaginations, developed their language skills, and had lots of opportunities to laugh, learn, and play together. ππͺ
It has been wonderful to see everyone so engaged, confident, and excited as we continued our space adventures together! β¨π

π§βππ Our little astronauts had an amazing time learning about what astronauts eat in space! πβ¨
The children explored how food is prepared for space travel and discovered why astronauts need special meals when they are floating in zero gravity. We talked about healthy eating, space snacks, and even imagined what it would be like to eat dinner aboard a rocket! ππ₯ͺπ

πβ¨ Last week our little explorers blasted off into space as we learned all about planets, stars, rockets, and astronauts! ππβ
The children had so much fun taking part in space-themed activities, using their imaginations, asking lots of questions, and discovering new facts about the universe around us. From creating amazing artwork to role-playing space adventures, everyone had a fantastic time learning through play. π§βππ«
We are so proud of how curious, creative, and enthusiastic the children have been throughout our space topic β the fun and excitement truly was out of this world! π
Learning about space sparks curiosity, nurtures STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) skills, and builds critical thinking. By exploring the unknown, children develop problem-solving abilities, understand the fragile nature of Earth, and get inspired to pursue future technology and science careersπ

π¬ I'm forever Blowing BubblesπΆ
Sensory play with bubbles is a powerful, multi-sensory tool. It seamlessly combines physical activity with early childhood development by stimulating multiple senses at once,
π§ π€Cognitive & Visual Development: Chasing and watching bubbles enhances visual tracking (how the eyes control movement) and depth perception. It also teaches concepts of cause and effect (e.g., touching a bubble makes it pop).
πβMotor Skill Refinement: Reaching for, grasping, and popping bubbles develops both fine motor skills (using tiny finger muscles) and gross motor skills (stretching, reaching, and running).
πβΉEmotional Regulation: The rhythmic, floating motion of bubbles has a deeply calming effect that grounds an overstimulated nervous system, helping children manage anxiety or unwind from a fussy mood.
π£πSpeech & Language: Bubbles create the perfect prompt to introduce descriptive vocabulary like up, down, big, small, fast, and slow

Thank you Tom for your wonderful πππππreview on Google!
Buds to Blossoms Nursery is a truly special nursery. We couldnβt be happier with the setup for our children. The staff create a warm, loving environment, while maintaining high expectations for every child to thrive and grow in confidence. With greenery all around, the setting creates a calm, nurturing, environment. The light, open space inside is impressive, and they have with fantastic educational and arts and crafts material. The children have access to so much open space, including a forest school which is on the grounds. Highly recommend.

π·πΌββοΈπ§ Can we Fit it? Yes we canπ¨π
Imaginative (pretend) play is vital for holistic childhood development. It provides a safe, unstructured space for children to process emotions, build social skills, and develop critical cognitive abilities
At Buds to Blossoms, we focus on providing the children with opportunity to explore and learn through make believe. This helps children to develop their Cognitive Growth, Emotional Regulation, Social Skills & Empathy as well as Language Development.
