Today Veolia attended Whitburn Academy where pupils took part in their Youth Leadership Programme.

Pupils completed four workshops around teamwork and sustainability. Pupils then had the opportunity to register their interest for the Youth Leadership Programme later in the year.

Veolia visited James Young High School today, where pupils engaged in the Youth Leadership Programme.

Pupils took part in four sessions focused on teamwork and sustainability. Following the workshops, pupils were invited to express their interest in joining the Youth Leadership Programme later in the year.

Embers are delighted to be back in beautiful Scotland delivering leadership opportunities for young people. In 2018/19 we partnered with Veolia waste management and pioneered an amazing leadership development course in selected schools.

Then Covid did its thing and stunted the momentum. With 5 years having passed we find that momentum has now begun again with more schools being engaged next year.

What makes this special is the commitment from Veolia to give back to the community in a profound way. Veolia is a multi-national organisation and it recognises the importantance to develop its Corporate Social Responsibility commitments and reinvest, not only in their communities but also in the next generation. To offer opportunities that engage, inspire and develop the next generation of leaders is profoundly important.

With Veolia’s strong focus on the circular economy we find ourselves utilising that concept in how we engage young people in their social and emotional development.

As Embers develops further partnerships with organisations who value their Corporate Social Responsibility commitments we find ourselves excited for what the future holds

Providing educational activities, equipment hire and copious amounts of s’mores. The event raises much needed funds for Hampshire Medical Fund who provide life saving equipment to hospitals across Hampshire. As a local business we are proud to support a number of charities across our area to provide educational and recreational activities for groups and families to enjoy as well as raise awareness and funds.

A fantastic day was had by all. The rain stayed clear and the sun shone ☀️
