Is marketing on your to-do list, but never quite making it off it?
You're not alone. Keeping social media active, running email campaigns, generating leads consistently... it all takes time, skill, and resource that most businesses don't have spare.
At Sixth Sense, we help businesses across Scotland build real in-house marketing capability, without the usual hiring costs or risks.
Here's how it works:
✔ Upskill an existing team member to own your marketing
✔ Or bring in a new hire, fully trained from day one
All through fully funded training backed by Skills Development Scotland, leading to recognised qualifications from Qualifications Scotland (formerly SQA).
No outsourcing. No stretched teams. Just growing expertise that drives real results for your business.
And the best part? We handle the setup and can support recruitment at no cost, making it simple to get started.
Apprenticeships aren't just for school leavers anymore. They're open to all ages and experience levels, making them a smart option for staff development and new hires alike.

Ever filmed something for your business… and never used it?

The difference is editing.

Through the Edit Audio & Video Material unit, learners develop the skills to take raw footage and turn it into professional content ready for social media, websites and marketing campaigns.

More content from what you already have, less reliance on external agencies, faster turnaround on campaigns.

All part of our Creative Media SCQF Level 7 apprenticeship. Fully funded for ages 16 - 24.

As organisations start planning for 2026, many are asking the same question:
how do we build the skills we need without increasing hiring risk?

Recruitment costs remain high, skills shortages haven’t disappeared, and stretching existing teams only goes so far. That’s why more employers are looking at apprenticeships and funded vocational training as part of their workforce planning.

We support Scottish employers to develop talent from within through fully funded SVQs and apprenticeships. Flexible, delivered online, and requiring just 1-2 hours per week.

Current pathways include Digital Marketing, Business Administration, IT Support, Data Analytics and Cyber Security.

If you’re starting to think about your 2026 hiring plans, now’s a good time to explore what funded training could look like for your team - https://zurl.co/Id9nI

Many teams across Scotland are working hard to deliver essential services while also trying to keep up with growing digital and admin demands.

Our fully funded SVQs are designed to make that easier. With flexible online delivery and just 1-2 hours per week required, staff can build practical skills and gain nationally recognised qualifications without being taken away from frontline work.

If you're looking to strengthen skills, develop talent or explore funded training options, we’d be happy to help!

Today is National Opportunity Day, and a reminder that there’s no one way to build a successful career.

We work with people from all walks of life: those who’ve just left school, those already working and wanting more, and those ready for a change. What they all have in common is a desire to grow.

Apprenticeships and work based learning open up opportunities to gain real qualifications, hands-on experience, and a clear route forward - all while getting paid.

University, college or straight into work - they’re all valid options. But if you're looking for something more hands-on, more flexible, or more aligned with your goals, we’ll help you find the route that fits.

There's no right answer for everyone, but there is a right answer for you.

Today is World Youth Skills Day, and we’re celebrating the young people shaping the future of our workforce.

At Sixth Sense Training, we see every day how apprenticeships help young people build real, job-ready skills in digital marketing. IT, business operations and beyond.

It's not just qualifications on paper. It's learning to think creatively, solve real-world problems, and make a difference from day one.

It’s inspiring to watch them grow in confidence, take on responsibilities and become valuable members of their teams.

To every young person taking that first step into an apprenticeship: we’re proud to support you. And to every employer investing in youth skills: you’re building a stronger future for your business and for Scotland.
