Hi everyone, we are pleased to announce that we will return to training at Kirktonholme on Monday 31st January.
Please pass the news on.

08/01/2022

Hi all, unfortunately we have been advised by South Lanarkshire Council that karate has been cancelled for the whole of January due to rising Covid cases. We will advise once we are allowed back into the school once again.
Should anyone wish to keep up their training then classes are still open at St Columba Church on Wednesdays at 6.30 and also Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Saturday mornings at 9.30.

A big thanks to everyone who was able to turn up tonight for our last night of the year. We managed to have a fun night while keeping injuries to a minimum and believe everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good time.
Thanks to all parents for your continued support and making the club what it is.
You have managed to raise £100 this evening to support Kirsty and MacMillan Cancer so give yourselves a big well done from us all.
We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and new year and hope to see you all back next year.
Best regards
Andrew, Iain and Paul

Hi all,
Next Monday 20th will be our last night of the year and we will be having our usual games night without too much focus on actual training. We will have some small prizes and selection boxes as usual and no doubt have sweets handed out during the evening. Please let us know if you have any issues with this.
We will be donating all fees taken in on Monday to a good cause therefore we would like to encourage all students to turn up to support Kirsty and Family who have been supporting the club for many years.
Please check the below link to Kirsty’s ‘Brave the Shave’ page where Mondays takings will be going and any other donations will be greatly appreciated whether personally or even just a spare £1 on the night.
Again I would like to encourage as many students as possible to turn up on Monday to have a fun night and support this good cause below.
Best regards
Andrew, Iain & Paul

Hi All

Thanks for coming on Saturday, I thought the session along with all the protocol went really well. Feedback Welcome

A big thankyou to all the parents / guardians for helping in supporting the rules etc.

Two Things

We discovered that we are unable to use the hall toilet facilities. This is due to the hall not being able to employ a cleaner in accordance with the COVID current rules.
Can you please ensure that Students have been to the toilet before attending the classes. Many Thanks.

Can you please be on time for pick up at the hall front door. We plan to finish around 10.25 allowing a short time for hall cleaning

Hope to see you all on Saturday

Kind Regards
Sensei Paul

Hi all, hope your all still keeping well. It’s been well over a year now with no training whatsoever but hopefully things are beginning to look brighter.
Latest update is that although the government Covid rules allow under 18’s to train inside there is still no indication from south Lanarkshire council as to when or even if they will allow access to facilities as of yet. Hopefully we will be able to return after the summer holidays.
One bit of good news is that Sensi Paul Higgins has managed to secure a class for kids only starting this Saturday 9.30am at Our Lady of Lourdes church in the Westwood and has welcomed our kids from kirktonholme to join in with kids from our Westwood club. If anyone is interested then please get back to me and I can provide further details.
I will post a further update tomorrow with a few basic rules to be followed in line with Covid regulations for returning to training.
Best regards
Paul

Bushido Karate Association for Children in Need 17/11/2020

Hi everyone,
Please see below a message from Sensei Brendan O'Mailley - please spread the word

Bushido Karate Association is a family friendly run association. We
welcome all levels and ages of students, experienced or not and
encourage them to find their path in the study of Shotokan Karate.
In this difficult time when everyone is supporting the fight against COVID, we are looking to do a mass ZOOM KARATE! class. We want as many people as possible - from those with no karate experience, to those with black-belt skills - to come and join us for a 1 hr special class. No equipment needed except a zoom capable device and the desire to learn some skills whilst helping others.

All we ask is that you donate a minimum of £5 to Children in Need.

The class will be held on zoom on 22/11/2020 @ 1pm-2pm

Zoom details to be added soon
