Free Summer of Sport events this August!

The South Lanarkshire Leisure Summer of Sport rolls on with two FREE events at East Kilbride Ice Rink and Hamilton Palace Sports Ground this August.

East Kilbride Ice Rink: Wednesday 5th August 2:15pm - 3:45pm

A packed afternoon of skating, music and family activities, including ice skating with a live DJ, face painting arts and crafts, children’s fun in the library, and the opportunity to try your hand at podcasting.

Hamilton Palace Sports Grounds: Friday 7th August 12pm - 4pm

An afternoon packed with football, challenges, music and creative activities including beat the goalie, crossbar challenge, face painting, arts and crafts, and drumming.

There is no need to book, and it is all FREE so come along and join in the fun!

We're very excited for KEYFEST 2026, coming to East Kilbride Universal Connections @ The Key on Saturday 8th August 12-4pm! This **FREE** community day for all ages will feature inflatables in our games hall, animal interactions from ZooLab, Laser Nerf, Silent Disco, Art Workshop with AMMO Illustration and Design, Craft Workshop, Drum Circle Workshop with DrumEK, live music with The Rolling Bones from our Peace & Jam music project, face painting, food from our Cafe Connections social enterprise project, and community information stalls from some of our local partners. Shaping up to be a great day!

- Children P5 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
- Some activities will have limited spaces and will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
