Robert came to me asking to join my FIT BALL camp that I was running and he was really keen on getting back into playing again and bringing back his prime years.

Roberto is now breezing through games,playing his weekly football and back feeling comfortable AND the main thing he is enjoying it that much he has booked back in with private 1-2-1 for different aspects of his game.

We go again 💪👀

AND IT IS BACK 👀🙌

I will be returning the FIT-BALL class to Maryhill starting in August.

So after 2 years of not being able to play football due to progressive injury I’m back to playing 90 minutes with ease. 🙌⚽️

I was suffering from tendinitis in both of my knees meaning I couldn’t jump, twist, burst away or perform any movement involving explosive power. I was advised by the GP and multiple physios that I would never be able to play football again which led me down the coaching path (they do say everything happens for a reason) However I wasn’t happy with this being my fate without even attempting to fix the issues I was experiencing. I’m an extremely active person so sitting back and letting it get worse just didn’t sit right with me.

So for the last year after lots of research I have been targeting the muscle groups that are around the patellar where my knee issues were coming from. The pain gradually began to ease and I was able to slowly get involved in training exercises again. This has led to me eventually building up enough strength to play again pain free.

“My son Brodie started doing one to one sessions with Darren a few months ago. After winning a raffle prize at his teams race night, which Darren kindly donated.

Being 6, Brodie was a bit apprehensive about one on one training at first as any training he has done before was part of a group.

Straight away Darren was able to build a genuine rapport with Brodie as he has great patience tailoring his sessions on areas he wants to work on and he can’t wait to go to his sessions every week now.

Darren’s sessions are always well thought out and push Brodie both physically and technically. They have worked on improving his passing and dribbling as well as body positioning. Each week they are able to add on the previous weeks work, allowing Brodie time to practice in between sessions and feedback on how the new skills he has learned have been incorporated into his games.

Darren is a great role model and his encouragement, support and coaching have helped Brodie’s development immensely. We cant thank him enough for his commitment to Brodie on the start of his football journey.

Darren is fully invested in his players and I would highly recommend him as a top coach!”
