Wow ! The Big Toddle 2023 for Barnardo’s was a great success this morning at 🌸Blossoming Tots🌸

Our tots walked for an hour around the farm , stopping to say a big hello to the Alpacas 🦙 and lots of refreshment breaks as we were blessed with the sunshine ☀️

A big thank you 😊 to all who dressed up in amazing safari costumes 🦜 🦁 🐯 🦓 🐵 and for your donations .

World bee 🐝 day on the 20th May .

So, our tots have been thinking about bees 🐝 and what we know already . We have noticed bees outside during our nature walks and thought about their colours during our play this week.
We also know they make a buzz buzz buzzing sound !

We have learned about the anatomy of a bee 🐝 and their life cycle . We found out this is similar to the life cycle of a caterpillar 🐛

Sensory play involved honey 🍯 play dough and coloured rice . We explored the textures of soft, sticky and crunchy on our hands and in between our fingers .

How many beautiful , buzzing bees 🐝 will you notice in your garden or during your walks this weekend ?

Or ...
Play with a tyre - which can be great for rolling , relaxing in or used as a pond for fishing 🎣

Caterpillar 🐛 watch ...

We have now moved the five CHRYSALIDES
to the butterfly 🦋 garden .

We have to wait patiently for our butterflies 🦋 to emerge - this can take up to 2 weeks !

- Making Easter bonnets please get in touch!

Days and hours can be flexible, we are looking for 2 part time practitioners to cover 2 days a week and 3 days a week must be Level 2 or 3 qualified.
