This month marks the 8 year anniversary of me starting my little Baby Sensory business. WOWZA!
After taking my first born Raffi to a class, I knew instantly it was the job for me. I fell in love with everything about it....the Hello song, the flow & rhythm of the class, the activities....the WOW of it all. I didn’t ever want it to end......!
So, with a 6 month old baby I threw myself into it, and never looked back.
I launched my first class in January 2013 and from there it grew and grew. Over the last 8 years I have welcomed probably close to 1000 babies (if not more) into my classes, laughed until my cheeks hurt, hugged many mums as they’ve cried and then watched them blossom throughout that year, dressed up in some crazy outfits, blown up 100’s and 100’s of balloons, blown 1000’s of bubbles across the sensory area for babies to watch in awe, seen many babies ‘firsts’.....first roll, first steps, first sign, first crawl, first clap and first maraca shake.
I’ve also made friends for life, and their children are now my children’s best friends. For that I am forever grateful.
I would not change it for the world. But this world has a way of showing us when things need to change.
The last 5 months has thrown the world into meltdown where choices have to be made and changes are inevitable. This period of time has made me realise that above anything else, it’s time for me to be a mummy to my children, to take a step back and realise that they won’t be little for long.
It is with the heaviest heart but also the biggest smile, that I am closing my Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense classes in East Grinstead, Tunbridge Wells and Crowborough.
I want to say the most ginormous THANK YOU to everyone who has walked through the doors to my class, shared my classes with friends, and given me the BEST job anyone could ask for.
My aim was to always make that journey into motherhood / parenthood that little bit easier for you, to take away any sadness or stress or worry-even if just for that hour and give you something to look forward to every week, and I hope I did that.
I have the most precious memories of my time in class and hundreds and hundreds of thank you cards-l, & I’ve kept every single one of them.
Also, I need to say a MASSIVE thank you to my wonderful class leaders over the years: Marisa, Kate & Holly, and of course EDDIE STYLES for being the best Toddler Sense class leader. You are all amazing 🥰
THERE IS SOME GOOD NEWS THOUGH.....
Classes will be starting up again, Andrea from Toddler Sense in Crawley is taking over both Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense so keep an eye on her page (which I will share shortly) for updates and information. Please do go ahead and ‘like’ that page.
For now, I’m saying goodbye to you all, if you want to stay in touch drop me a message, and I’m sure I’ll bump into many of you in Sainsbury’s or The Mug Tree 🤣.
Lots of love,
Katie ###
