🧶 This term we are working with 100% boiled wool to make outer wear and the results are looking fabulous! Many of us are making the Berlin Jacket from Tesutti fabrics, and we are speedily overlapping and pinning our seams together. This is a new technique for all of us, no ‘right sides together’ seams here, just overlapped. Watch this space as we finish our makes… 🧶

🧵 Our Berlin Jackets are getting some pockets! We are marking the placement with tailors tacks, then checking the height of the pockets and making sure our hand reaches in comfortably. If needed we move the markers up, and then we topstitch them in place. 🧵

🪡 🩷 Another moment needed for another Summer ‘Vibes make’. Elizabeth as made this absolutely beautiful pink leopard print dress and it fits beautifully! The flowing blouson sleeves, the yoke gathers, the shirring at the back waist, the synched in waist with a beautifully fitted midriff band. I think you look gorgeous in it, well done! 🩷🪡

💙🪡🧵 Julia’s dress needs a little moment in the spotlight! This is her ‘Summer vibes’ make from last term and it is beautiful. Firstly the fabric, such a lovely, bright blue pattern in viscose material. With puff sleeves elasticated cuffs, and a tiered gathered dress there were a lot of firsts in the this make, but you have absolutely nailed it. Well done! 💙🧵🪡

🪡 Berlin Jackets are now underway, and Janis has taken her sewing to the next level. She has elevated it entirely by doing some free motion embroidery on her patch pockets. Using denim scraps and contrast thread her design looks so beautiful. Well done! 🪡
