So we all have a number in our head if we're wanting to lose weight, maybe its what you weighed pre kids, in the height of your 20s, or maybe the last time you remember feeling confident was when you was at this certain weight 🤔
Our bodies change so much after carrying babies, as we get older etc.
But heres why we shouldn't always rely on a number as our end goal⬇️...
1. If you're training in the gym, you'll be building muscle. No muscle does not weigh more than fat. 1lb of fat weighs the same as 1lb of muscle HOWEVER, that 1lb of fat takes up more volume in your body than that 1lb of muscle does, so you're losing fat whilst simultaneously building muscle, this means the scale wont be the best way to measure your fat loss progress. So don't stress about your 'goal weight' as you'll likely find out it's slightly more than you imagine.
2. Your body has changed drastically since having children or growing up, realistically wanting to be the same weight as 18 year old pre children you, isn't going to be enjoyable or realistic for you.
Stop just fixating on what the number says, take pictures, note how you feel in your clothes, hip and waist measurements etc😊
You are worth SOO much more than a single number on a square that you stand on every morning😙
