Last week, we were thrilled to welcome the author, Mitch Johnson, to our school. Every student enjoyed an hour-long assembly where he explained how and why he wrote his fantastic novels, particularly ‘Kick’ and ‘Strike’. Afterwards, he spent time signing, dedicating books and talking with some of our pupils. It was a truly enjoyable afternoon and one to inspire writers and readers. Plenty more photos will appear on the website soon so keep eyes peeled.

Yesterday morning, Mrs Kendle had the pleasure of taking these avid readers to Northgate High School where they battled it out in the school’s annual ‘Battle of the Bookworms’ competition. All students were amazing and enthusiastic, earning themselves joint 3rd place 🥉. A huge well done to them all. 🌟 📕
