CHILDREN’S CLASSES CANCELLED THURSDAY 24TH JUNE

We have decided to cancel the fire ants and juniors classes on Thursday the 25th due to the extreme temperatures.

We will be at the club with some ice pops from 17:00, so if you want to get out for an evening walk then book in on team up so we know how many to get.

PARENTS!
Yes you can have an ice pop 👍🏻

What temperature is too hot for sports?

Temperatures exceeding 30°C (86°F) are generally considered too hot for intense sports, especially without proper acclimatization. However, humidity matters more than air temperature. If the heat index (what it “feels” like) hits 35°C (95°F) or higher, health organizations universally advise against strenuous activity.
The Heat and Humidity Rule (The “Heat Index”)
Your body primarily cools itself by sweating and releasing heat through the skin. When the air is humid, sweat cannot evaporate efficiently.

Up to 24°C (75°F): Safe for most sports.
25°C to 30°C (77°F - 86°F): Caution is required. Performance starts to drop for high-intensity or long-distance sports. Mandatory water breaks are highly recommended. National Institutes of Health (.gov)

Thank you 🙏🏼

2 years ago we opened a new martial arts club in East Cowes not knowing what the future would bring.

2 years later we have a thriving community of children and adults all looking to learn and support each other.

Looking forward to finding out what the future has in store for us 🤙🏻

If you have been thinking about coming down to see what we are about then now is a great time to join.
