πŸ… FOUR IN A ROW FOR HOLY CROSS! πŸ…

We are absolutely delighted to announce that Holy Cross Catholic Primary School has achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the fourth consecutive year! 🌟

This prestigious national award recognises our commitment to providing high-quality PE, sport and physical activity, and celebrates the fantastic opportunities our children have to participate, compete and develop healthy, active lifestyles.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our staff, the enthusiasm of our pupils and the incredible support of our families. Throughout the year, our children have represented Holy Cross with Kindness, Confidence and Excellence, making us proud at every event.

Some of this year's sporting highlights include:
U11 Boys reaching the Football League Cup semi-finals
1st Place – U11 Mixed East Cowes Netball Festival
2nd Place – Hampshire County Netball Qualifiers
3rd Place – U9 Indoor Athletics
3rd Place – U11 Basketball Competition
U9 Tag Rugby Festival Group Winners
Representation at the PEACH Girls' Football Festival and PEACH Games
U11 Boys and Girls competing in the PokΓ©mon Cup
Competing in the Hampshire County Netball Finals

A huge thank you also goes to our School Games Organisers, Andy Day and Tony Harris, along with the many volunteers, leaders and officials who make these opportunities possible.

This is a wonderful achievement for our whole school community. Here's to aiming for five consecutive Gold Awards next year... and taking one step closer to the Platinum School Games Mark!

Our residential children, under very close supervision, were let loose with some serious tools today as they explored tool working! πŸͺšπŸ”¨

The children showed great responsibility, listened carefully to instructions and had fun learning new practical skills.

Don't worry – everyone still has all of their fingers and toes! πŸ˜„

Recently, St Teresa Class had a brilliant trip to Marwell Zoo. πŸ¦’πŸ’πŸ¦

The children had a fantastic day exploring the zoo and seeing animals that we don't normally get the chance to see. There was lots of excitement throughout the day, but the giraffes were definitely a favourite – they were amazing!

The visit was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about animals and their habitats. πŸŒπŸ’š

Our residential adventurers have been trying their hand at leatherworking! πŸͺ΅πŸ§΅

The children have been learning new skills, and using specialist tools carefully. Nothing says fun quite like working with sharp tools... under very close supervision, of course! πŸ˜„

A chance for our Year 5 and 6 children to learn something completely new.
