🎀Our Nursery Turns Pink - Spreading Hope & Kindness🎀

This week, we’ve brightened up our nursery with lots of pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month💗

We enjoyed exploring the colour pink through many wonderful activities and baking.

It’s more than just a colour, it’s a chance to talk with the children about caring for one another, looking out for the people we love, and how kindness really does matter. Every donation we received from our bake sale of many yummy tasty treats is going to help support those affected by breast cancer and we are so grateful to our families for being part of this with us.

Autumn Adventures🍁

The air crisp, the leaves are turning golden, and we’ve been having the best time exploring all things autumn together🪾🍁

We’ve had lots of sensory fun exploring all different textures hard and soft, rough and smooth. We’ve also enjoyed getting creative as we created our own pumpkin spiced lattes with the scents of cinnamon and little pumpkins.

Autumn role play has also been making its way around the nursery as each room has had its own creative autumn cafe ☕️

Creative painting with a range of leaves, stamps, pine cones and twisty twigs has really got the children’s interest as they each became mini artists 🧑‍🎨

We’ve throughly enjoyed our Autumn week and can’t wait for this wonderful season too continue as we watch our outside world change and the weather become a crisp cold 🍁

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend and we can’t wait to make more memories with you all next week as we dive into our health awareness week 🏃🍎

This week we have explored the 5 senses ✋️👃👁👅👂
🌟 The 5 Senses: Big Learning for Little Ones! 🌟
From birth to age 5, children learn about the world through their senses here's some of things we have explored.
👀 Sight – colorful books, smiling faces, bubbles, textures changing and nature walks
👂 Hearing – songs, stories, clapping, stomping, crunching and everyday sounds
👃 Smell – flowers, fruit, fresh laundry, and safe kitchen scents such as curry powder
👅 Taste – exploring new healthy foods and flavors
✋ Touch – sand, water, playdough, soft blankets, and textured toys
Simple sensory play helps little children build language, curiosity, coordination, and confidence. You don’t need fancy materials—everyday moments can become wonderful learning opportunities for all! 💛

Next week we will be exploring autumn in many different ways🍂 have a fabulous weekend and see you all next week 😀

🎒✨ To all our wonderful school leavers starting BIG school today… ✨🎒

It feels like only yesterday you were walking through our doors with little hands, little feet and a whole world ahead of you… and now look at you, all grown tall and ready for your next big adventure. 🥹❤️

But as you step through those school gates today, don’t forget — you already know so much.

You know how to make friends. 🤝
You know how to play and have fun. 🌈
You know how to wonder, imagine and explore. ✨
You know how to be kind and care for others. 💕
And, most importantly, you know how to ask for help when you need it. 🫶💪

These are the skills that will give you the strength and confidence to grow🌳, learn and discover so many new things on this exciting next chapter.

To every one of our amazing preschool children starting school today, we are SUPER proud of you. 🥰

Go and be brave, be curious, make new friends, ask lots of questions, have lots of fun and, most importantly, keep being wonderfully YOU. 🌟

TIDDLYFEST 2026

This week we enjoyed having our own little festival, we have enjoyed having our hairs plaited and adding glitter to make us sparkle ✨ We enjoyed having our faces painted in which we got to choose our favourite characters and pretend to be these characters for the rest of the day!

After having lots of fun dancing, getting our hair done and getting festival ready, we then enjoyed refreshments as we made our own smoothies from watermelons, melons and pineapples 🍍🍉 which we enjoyed sipping out of a melon.

We had a fantastic day and we wish all our school leavers the very best and we will know you will all be amazing as you start your next chapter 💫

This week we have been exploring all different modes of transportation ✈️🚗🚀🚎.

The preschoolers have enjoyed spending lots of time roleplaying in their train cafe, serving teas and coffees to their friends. 🚆☕️. They have also enjoyed learning about land, sea and air vehicles, discovering the different ways we travel and why. ✈️🚲⛴️

In our toddler room, we have had a great time with our car wash, scrubbing, tipping and pouring 💦 🫧 They have also enjoyed painting the tyres using a range of tools and mixing lots of wonderful colours 🌈 They then rolled the tyres along the floor to create tracks and patterns 🛞

Our baby room have been exploring getting messy with the diggers in mud, looking at the different tracks they make as well as scooping and pouring. We also loved riding the bikes through the paint 🎨, making a colourful picture while practicing our gross motor skills 🚲 We looked closely at vehicles such as ice cream vans and decided to make our own with play dough, turning our role play into a parlour! 🍦

This week we have been exploring and celebrating the great outdoors 🌳🌿💐. At tiddlywinks we value our outdoor space and the time we spend in it. Including our garden areas and forest school. 🪾🪵🍃.

This week our preschoolers have especially enjoyed spending lots of time in our forest school exploring all the different plants and animals that we see. They have loved making nature potions 🌾🌸🌼, practicing their fine motor skills to cut the plants and flowers independently. They also enjoyed exploring the different herbs that have been growing in forest school. 🌿🪴Alongside the forest school excitement the children have also shown an interest in learning and talking about the eclipse that we experienced this week. 🌖💫 They enjoyed sharing their stories about what they saw as well as painting the eclipse and making the moon and sun with play dough. 🌙🌕☀️.

This week our babies have enjoyed been the littlest explorers and exploring the great outdoors🍁🍃 They have enjoyed walking through the textures we find in the great outdoors and splashing in muddy puddles🦶 They have also enjoyed exploring the wildlife that lives in the many great outdoor habitats such as foxes, badgers and birds 🐦 They enjoyed exploring the different types of homes they live in and also exploring the textures. Finally our babies enjoyed been mini gardeners for the day digging down into the soil to make room for the seeds to grow🌸 We’ve had another fantastic week been the mini explorers🏕️

Our toddlers have enjoyed spending lots of time in their garden watching the birds and squirrels 🐿️ 🦅. They have also enjoyed making nature soup in the water tray with lots of natural resources 🍁🍂🍃🪶 and making farm animal footprints in sensory trays. 🐖🐑🐄.

We have all had so much fun exploring the great outdoors and look forward to exploring transportation next week. ✈️🚘🚀🚛

This week we have enjoyed exploring the great world around us 🌍🗺️

We have enjoyed exploring the earth and the different planets, looking at the colours, the sizes and the shapes. 🪐🌍 we used cloud dough to make a mould of the earth ourselves using are imagination. 🧑‍🎨🌍🌱🌳🪨

We have looked at the different countries, the different flags and animals we may see around the world, children enjoyed exploring and telling us the different countries they wanted to explore 🌍 🐬🌊🌳

In preschool we enjoyed exploring the world with our senses, smelling the different foods, touching the different textures we used to correct our world in a tray. The children have loved extending there knowledge of the world by asking lots of questions. 🌍

In babies we have enjoyed having the whole world in our hands🌍 we have used our different senses to explore different textures in our multicultural baskets and feel the texture of the salt dough as we created our hand prints and said high-five to a range of different countries🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇫🇷🇪🇸 We have also enjoyed creating our own beats as we all got involved in a session of African drumming🇿🇦 We’ve really enjoyed exploring the world around us🌍

In toddlers we have enjoyed exploring the world with our imaginations🌍, using different textures and colours to create different habitats. We used blue paint 🎨and shaving foam to represent the ocean splashing around with our sealife creatures. We have also enjoyed matching different flags to their colours🇬🇧🇫🇷🇯🇵

Let’s explore under the sea 🌊 🐬🐠🐟

The children have really enjoyed exploring the under the sea animals, and pretending to be under the sea investigators this week. we enjoyed comparing them to land animals and looking at the different body parts we have and why we have different parts and what we use them for. The children were most interested in the animals that have fins🐬🐅🦖

We have explored many different textures from sand and water to shaving foam and gloop🐠🐢
The children have been using their senses to explore and enhance their learning whilst exploring the activities 👋👃 Whilst enjoying different textures and exploring the bottom of the deep blue sea🌊 we have also enjoyed creating our own under the sea pictures as we got creative in our art studio🎨

We have enjoyed getting messy in the gloop, splashing in the water 💦 getting creative and using our imagination to create scenes and amazing art work 🖼️

We have enjoyed roleplaying in our very own scuba cafe serving fish and chips to all our friends 🐟🍟
