As we’re low on water, we took the opportunity to enjoy the eclipse with a bbq and drinks on the decking instead.

Wednesday night racing. Low water and a shifty Westerly wind made for some tricky conditions. Thanks to Dave for race duty and we’re glad you found your keys!

Saturday Afternoon Racing. Jon, with Imogen crewing, took an Enterprise to victory in the Menagerie. The pursuit race came down the three boats neck and neck rounding the last mark, a forced split, then Keith showing the field the Supernova’s superior up wind speed to take victory. Well done to all who raced, especially our cadets. Oliver made the most of his new Laser on a full rig, along with his brother Mathew in a club Laser and Huw in the club Pico, expertly crewed by his sister Seren. Thanks to Kevin and Dave for race duty.

Today is the 100th Birthday of one of our earliest club members Ken Bridgewater.
Many of us remember Ken, a very good sailor, racing on a Saturday afternoon in his beloved wooden Merlin, Finesse. ( pictured below)
Ken is a past Commodore of the club, and his name appears on several of our trophies as
he continued to race well into his eighties!
A true gentleman on and off the water -
Ken, we all congratulate you on this very special birthday and send you and your family our best wishes.

A busy Saturday Morning club with nearly our entire fleet of junior boats on the water, followed by Afternoon racing. A fickle Westerly wind with occasional strong gusts made for some tricky, but entertaining sailing conditions. Thanks to Phil and Dave for duty and well done to James and Rob on their race victories.

Great racing for eight boats on a blustery Wednesday evening. Thanks to Alan and Dave for race duty.
