We are currently developing The Hive which is a safe space in school to support regulation/offer sensory input. We are looking to extend the equipment available for the children to use when accessing the space and are on the hunt for a spinning chair similar to this one.

Do you have one or know of anyone looking to re home one? We would be delighted to track one down.

How has the transition back to school and the new routine gone for you all? Maybe it has gone unexpectedly well! Maybe you and your family are still adjusting.

Some neurodivergent families plan the change meticulously and for others it is a last minute rush to get organised. Did it work for you and your needs as a neurodivergent person? Come join us this lunchtime for a chat with other neurodivergent parents in the quiet of the lovely Café Recharge (open just for us!).

🫸🏻 HIGH FIVE FRIDAY 🫷🏻

We return with our highlights of the week and it’s been a busy one!!!

🖐🏼 P2 children were being very creative in the playground this week inviting staff to join them round the camp fire.

🖐🏼 P3 started their new topic All About Meta-skills. We focused on the character Curiosity Carlos and learned how to be curious in our learning by asking questions, exploring and investigating historic artefacts.

🖐🏼 P4 have been enjoying learning numeracy skills brought play. There were lots of concentrating faces!

🖐🏼 It has been a week of nerves and excitement in P7 with the new House Captains being announced. They look forward to introducing themselves next week!

🖐🏼 Mr Moore has been working his socks off getting the school ready for the Tour of Britain this weekend. Children have been hearing how historical this moment will be for Earlston.

⭐️ WIDER ACHIEVEMENT WEDNESDAY ⭐️

We absolutely love hearing about and celebrating the wonderful achievements of our learners, both in and out of school! We are always so impressed by the amazing talents, interests and strengths they develop and share with us.

Please keep sharing these special moments with us so that we can continue to celebrate our super learners and all that they achieve! 🌟

A special shout-out to Mr Moore for showcasing his meta-skill of creativity at the weekend — fantastic work! 👏✨

We want to say the biggest thank you to Kathryn Parry-Wilkes who has given up her precious time volunteering for our Breakfast Club!!! She has been an absolute superstar.🌟 With the support of Kathryn and other parent volunteers we have been able to offer a space for children to join us from 8.20am.
🙂

Alannah continues to join us every morning which is truly wonderful and we are hoping to grow the team. If you would be able to volunteer time to help run the Breakfast Club, we would love to hear from you.
Please get in touch with the school office and a member of the Senior Leadership team will be in touch.
