Hi I'm Tessa and I would love to help your child become as passionate about the piano as I am. Through engaging, individualised, one to one lessons, I will support your child to become a rounded musician.

Lessons will cover learning pieces, developing sightreading, technique and aural skills through using modern and evidence-based pedogogy with an emphasis on fun and variety. I teach classical, jazz and contemporary piano, and believe choice of repertoire should be music the pupil loves and wants to learn.

All my pupils are invited to take part in regular performance opportunities.

I am completely flexible around exams, with the decision to take them or not lying with pupil and parents. I am very familiar with both ABRSM and Trinity boards.

I can also specifically support preparing for the Grade 5 theory music theory exam.

Qualifications:
Grade 8 piano
Grade 5 theory
Grade 5 violin

CPD:
I am a member of the Bristol Pre-Conservatoire, meeting weekly.
I participate in two week-long residential piano courses per year.

I teach on a Kawai GX2 6ft grand piano, maintained at concert pitch.
