Learning all about lifecycles! 🍃 🐛

The children were absolutely fascinated by our lifecycle topic this term!

We grew caterpillars and learnt all about their lifecycle🐛.

At snack time we tried all the fruits that the very hungry caterpillar ate and talked all about how they grow!🍎

We painted egg boxes and made cress caterpillars in them and talked about how plants grow! 🌱

Later when the butterflies emerged from their cocoons we released them into the wild and the children sang goodbye to them which was so special! 🦋

We hope you all had a wonderful Mothers Day!🌷

The children loved making cards and doing crafts for their mothers last week, they especially loved copying these flowers to make their cards! They talked all about which colours they would use and if they were doing ‘long’ or ‘short’ petals. They turned out beautifully! 💐

We had the most wonderful party day playing lots of Christmas themed party games and had a special visit from Mrs. Claus!🤶 The children loved having their families come and watch them sing Christmas carols too!🔔

This term we have had the best time doing so many crafts and Christmas activities!🎄🎅 We practiced wrapping presents, decorating our tree and sang so many Christmas songs! We also took a Christmas walk to post our Christmas cards! We practiced road saftey and the postman explained to the children all about his job and how he makes sure their Christmas lists get to the North Pole! 🎅🎁🎄
