What an exciting discovery from our Forest School area this weekend. Our wildlife camera has captured visits from local animals, including a badger and an owl, reminding us that our forest is a shared habitat and a living space full of wonder.
Seeing wildlife so close to our school helps our children develop curiosity, respect and a sense of responsibility for the natural world. These experiences bring learning to life and deepen understanding of care for creation.
This beautifully reflects our school vision. Together we shine brightly and together we make a difference. By valuing and protecting our forest environment, we are learning that thoughtful actions today help safeguard the world for tomorrow.

This morning we were pleased to welcome the Cam Everside Youth football team to use our school field, who are leasing the field this season! We’re so pleased and to able to support the development of youth sport! We hope that our community continues to enjoy this shared space.

As part of our agreement to keep the field open for community use (particularly as weather improves), we kindly remind everyone that:

Dogs are not permitted on the field
Barbecues must not be used
Golf must not be played

We are very keen to keep the field open for our community. However, if these conditions continue to be broken, we will need to review community access in order to keep all children and visitors safe.

To ensure the safety of our pupils and the visiting pupils who are taking part in the Year 3 and Year 4 rugby tournament, the gates that provide access through the school fields will be closed today between 12.00pm and 3.15pm.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we work to maintain a safe environment for everyone on site.

✨ SHINE! – Mothering Sunday ✨
We are looking forward to coming together as a community for SHINE – Becoming Church Together at Dursley CE Primary Academy, in partnership with St James’ Church and Sportily.

📅 Sunday 15th March 2026�🕙 10:00–11:00�📍 Dursley CE Primary Academy, School Road, GL11 4NZ

This Mothering Sunday celebration will include games, music and refreshments, with a special hands-on activity where children will be baking bread together, reflecting on sharing, care and community.
Everyone is very welcome. We would love families, friends and the wider community to join us as together we shine brightly and together we make a difference.

Dursley School Association are pleased to present GLOW DISCO!
DJ Rossy will be playing the latest hits in the school hall on Friday 27th February. Infants: 5pm-6pm, Juniors 6.15pm - 7.15pm.
Entrance £5 in advance only and can be purchased from Arbor's school shop. Price includes one snack, one item of merchandise and unlimited drinks.
Additional snacks and merchandise can be purchased on the night for a small charge.
No mobile phones or PARENTS!
Tickets can be purchased from 4pm 05/02/2026 until 3pm 27/02/2026
