YOUR CHILD IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE DAYS WHEN THEY DON’T WANT TO DO IT.

They’re supposed to get frustrated.
They’re supposed to lose motivation.
They’re supposed to find things hard.

That’s part of it.

But somewhere along the way, we started believing that “I don’t want to anymore” automatically means “I should be allowed to quit.”

It doesn’t.

Because if we teach our kids that they can walk away every time something becomes difficult, uncomfortable or stops being fun…

what happens when life gets difficult?

Confidence isn’t built by avoiding hard things.

Resilience isn’t built on the easy days.

Sometimes the biggest lesson we can teach our children is:

You don’t have to love it today.
You don’t even have to want to do it today.
But you’re not quitting on a bad day.

Because doing something worth doing was never supposed to be easy. 🖤

🚙 Bad day for this road rage guy…

On our way to Alton Towers with some of the fight team. Some crazy driver stops in the middle of the motorway to start a fight with another driver, he starts punching him through the window, the other driver gets out and starts hitting him back.

(We have already stopped to break it up.) No other cars stop.

This guy is nuts but little does he know he stopped next to 2 cars full of trained fighters - he had no chance!

Safe to say he soon drove off very rapidly! 💨

(Excuse the bad language at the end, the wife was not happy with her husband lol)

Some kids carry more than we realise. 💜

Worries. Shyness. Big emotions. Struggling to fit in. Not quite believing in themselves yet.

Legacy Martial arts gives them somewhere to belong — somewhere they learn they’re strong, capable and worth believing in.

Because one day, you won’t be there to fight their battles for them.

So give them the confidence to face them. 🥊💜

🛑 READ THIS FULLY IF YOU WNAT TO PROTECT YOUR CHILD 🛑

If swimming is a life skill, then so is martial arts.

Parent to parent… this is something I feel incredibly strongly about.

We teach our children to swim because we need to know that if they ever fall into water, they have the skills to keep themselves safe.

We don’t wait until they want to learn.

We don’t say, “Oh, they don’t really fancy swimming anymore, so we’ve stopped.”

Because we understand that it could save their life.

So why do we look at martial arts differently?

Because there are other dangerous waters our children may find themselves in.

Bullies.
Violence.
Intimidation.
Peer pressure.
Nasty people with bad intentions.

And as much as we would love to wrap our children up and protect them forever, we can’t always be there.

That scares me more than anything.

As a mum of four, if there is ONE thing I want for my children, it’s to know that when I’m not standing beside them, they have the confidence, awareness and skills to protect themselves.

For me, martial arts is non-negotiable.

If my child tells me they don’t want to train anymore? They’re still training.

Because children don’t always understand the importance of the decisions they’re making. That’s why we’re their parents.

There are plenty of things my children get a choice about.

Their safety isn’t one of them.

Until they are old enough and mature enough to make those decisions for themselves, I will make sure they have the skills I believe could one day protect them.

Martial arts isn’t just a hobby.

It isn’t just another after-school club.

It teaches confidence. Awareness. Discipline. Resilience. Self-defence. How to stay calm under pressure. How to stand up for yourself — and when to walk away.

I genuinely believe it should be taught in every school, on every syllabus, to every child.

Just like swimming.

Because the world is changing. And while we can’t control everything our children will face…

we can prepare them for it.

One day, the skills they learn on those mats might be the skills they need when we’re not there to protect them.

And for me, that makes martial arts a life skill 💜

🥹 “Well done, bro!” 💜

Sometimes it’s the smallest moments that make us the proudest.

Hearing one of our little Cubs encouraging his friend in class… 🥊🥹

At such a young age, they’re already learning that martial arts isn’t just about what you can achieve — it’s about cheering on the people around you too. 🙌

Building confidence, kindness, teamwork and friendships from day one. 💜

This is what it’s all about. 🥹

Some children don’t just learn martial arts… they find themselves through it. 💜

When Iris first came to us, he was non-verbal, very withdrawn and faced many challenges.

Within just a few months, his mum began to see incredible changes — mentally, physically and socially. He started talking, (and now doesn’t stop💜) he was interacting and making friends. 🥹

Today, Iris is one of our highest-level junior competitors, training hard every single day and constantly pushing himself.

Watching his journey has been nothing short of incredible.

Iris, you are an absolute pleasure to teach and the most incredible little human. We are SO proud of you. 💜🥊

🥋 We teach our children to swim because it could save their life… so why wouldn’t we teach them to defend themselves?

For girls, martial arts isn’t just a sport. It’s a life skill.

Confidence. Awareness. Strength. The ability to protect themselves.

💗 Teach her skills she’ll carry for life.
