If your teen has decided to resit A-level Chemistry, here’s my biggest tip: don’t go it alone.

Resitting is a brave decision, but it can feel overwhelming without the right structure and support. Many students try to work through past papers and revision notes on their own… only to find themselves stuck in the same cycle as last time.

✅ With guided support, they can rebuild confidence
✅ Fill in the gaps that held them back before
✅ And focus on the strategies that can actually lead to an A or A*

Top Tips Tuesday: don't let your A-level results define you.
I'm currently on holiday in Latvia with my extended family.
The conversation got on to A-level results and uni. My husband didn't get the grades he was hoping for and went through clearing. He loved going to Surrey uni, and if he hadn't gone there we would have never met and had these two lovely children. My husband has never let his grades hold him back, in fact it's almost spurred him on, and he's incredibly successful.

I hope those waking up to results today get what they want (especially those you I've taught ;)

But if you don't, it doesn't have to be the end of the world.

I got AAD, still got into my first choice. My D was in French and my first grad job was as a bilingual customer service rep.

Sometimes is may seem like A/A* is all that matters. But they are called Advance d level for a reason. A-levels are hard and any passing grade A*-E is worth having.
