The weather has been lovely over half term but it’s back to school today with rain forecast. Please remember that children need a suitable waterproof/water-resistant coat in school all year round.

Our Y6s celebrated the end of a testing week with a trip out for pizza and bowling (plus a birthday song and cake for Mr H!). They were sporting their fantastic leavers hoodies (thank you to parents for funding these along with a contribution from the Friends of St Oswald's!). We are so proud of these children! They give everything their all with so much enthusiasm and fun. They’re kind, caring, courageous and so many other things! Well done on a great week, Class of 2026!

Tomorrow is a non-uniform day as we are supporting Christian Aid week in conjunction with St Oswald’s Church. A £1 donation is suggested and can be made via ParentPay or with cash to the school office.
Please note: this is in addition to the already planned non-uniform day at the end of this half term.

Just before Easter, our Y5 and Y6 drama club took part in the Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation festival in conjunction with Hild Bede College, Durham University. They learned their lines and gave a brilliant performance of Twelfth Night. We were really impressed by all of their hard work and so proud of them! Thank you to Mr Handy and Mrs Lawes for making the magic happen as the Directors. Thank you to BOWES - Bespoke Gifts and Events for helping us with character name t-shirts - they looked amazing. Thank you to Hild Bede College and Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation for the opportunity to take part in this event. And a huge well done to our drama club performers!
