St Cuthbert’s Society JCR is currently seeking new external trustees to join our Board.

As a registered charity, the JCR plays a central role in supporting student welfare, community, and opportunities across Durham. Our trustees provide strategic guidance and oversight, helping ensure the organisation continues to deliver for its members.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a long-standing student institution while gaining valuable experience in charity governance.

Why become a trustee?

• Make a meaningful impact on student experience

• Gain insight into the running of a charitable organisation

• Develop skills in governance, finance, and strategic decision-making

• Flexible commitment (approximately 4–5 hours per month)

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in areas such as:

• Finance
• Legal or Governance
• Leadership and Stratergy
