Another fantastic day at SC Training & Rescue.
Deep down at the pit bottom in the mine again, running rescue scenarios in some of the most awkward, tight, spaces you can imagine. You come out of the mine wanting some cool air but the weather is just as hot on the surface as it is down below. Yet another fantastic group of learners smashed it today.

When you’ve got people with real experience under their belt, it makes a massive difference - the conversations are better, the questions are sharper, and the whole session just flows.

Days like this remind me why I love doing what I do.

It’s only Wednesday, and so far this week I've delivered Manual Handling training, carried out rescue equipment appraisals, discussed rescue arrangements, and been a mile underground running rescue drills putting those arrangements to the test.

This is a fantastic initiative from my client to ensure it's not just words written on paper, but a client who actually puts it into practice. They adapt, overcome issues, and create an open, safe environment where their teams can develop and promote best practice.

SC Training & Rescue - we don’t just train on the surface. We’ll travel deep into the darkness, heat and humidity of the mines to make sure safety training is delivered properly.

Big news from SC Training & Rescue!

We’re now officially accredited to deliver First Aid training that meets the highest national standards.
That means every course — from workplaces to schools — is Ofqual regulated, hands‑on, and taught by trainers with real emergency experience.

First Aid Course – July Dates Now Open for Booking

I’m running a First Aid course this July, and bookings are now officially open.
