What is Forest Bathing?
Forest Bathing is the practice of immersing oneself in nature in a mindful way, using your senses to derive a whole range of benefits for physical, mental, emotional and social health. Forest Bathing is a direct translation from the Japanese Shinrin-yoku, and was first conceptualized in Japan in the 1980’s, where it proved to be a very effective tool in overcoming illness and the negative effects of a hectic and stressful lifestyle.

Happy International Day of Happiness! 🌍☀️🥳
This year’s theme is ‘Social Media and Happiness’.
We live in a world where algorithms can drive us apart, so today let’s choose to focus on connection and use social media as a way to bring us closer together with the people and communities that really matter.
Send this image to someone you are grateful for, to let them know you appreciate them. Even a small moment of connection can change someone’s day.
Here are three ways we can all build a healthier, happier relationship with social media:
🧘♀️ Choose
Be mindful of if, when and how much you are on social media
🤗 Connect
Don’t let scrolling be a substitute for real connection
🔍 Curate
Personalise your experience to support your wellbeing and the wellbeing of others.
