We will be holding our AGM this afternoon, straight after the Rock Soc one. Would be great to see as many people as possible there. Starting 4pm at The Angel.

Dates for this term are now confirmed, including our annual band night on 9th June. Look forward to seeing see at our first event of the term this coming Friday!

We will be having our official society photo tomorrow (Wednesday 8th Feb), meeting in the foyer outside Hild Bede's Caedmon Hall for 12:45. All members are encouraged to be there if possible.

So,our AGM happened on Friday,and we probably should have announced results sooner, but anyway; Firstly thanks to everyone who turned up and played their part in the democracy and keeping the society going another year. And an even bigger thanks and congratulations to those who decide on the night to run for positions to run the society next year.

For those of you who weren't there the election results are:

President: Adam Rose
Vice President: Behzad Ansarinejad
Treasurer: Charlie Murray
Publicity: Michael Sleeman
Tech Manager: James McRedmond
Venue Manager: Unelected, to be filled in EGM at start of next term.

Additional major announcement from the meeting; as of next year we will no longer be able to use the undercroft as a venue, general consensus at the meeting was to agree with colleges current plan to move us upstairs onto the stage of the hall above the undercroft. Confirmation of our new location will be given our first event next academic year. The rest of this years events will continue unaffected by this.

Our next event will be a nice break from exam panic on May 27th, those of you who finish their exams before then are especially invited; but a small revision break is probably good for all to come and enjoy. (unless you have a saturday morning exam afterwards, in which case, please do get some sleep.) See you all there.
