**Booking for the Eid Dinner closes tomorrow night**
Hey everyone, hope you enjoyed your Easter holidays ☺️
Eid is coming up in just over a week and I'm so excited to announce that we're having a dinner at Grey on Wednesday 4th May at 7PM to celebrate! 🌙
We'll start with dinner, snacks, and juice in Fountains Hall, followed by mishti (mithai/dessert) in the JCR where we can chat and take pictures together. I encourage you to dress up in whatever you feel comfortable and excited to wear! Personally, I can’t wait to wear a salwar kameez my aunt gave me because I haven't worn it in so long. (I miss wearing Asian clothing so much)
The entire event is free for Grey students, regardless of whether you live in or out. Spaces are limited so please fill out the form by Tuesday 26th April 23:59 to reserve your place at the table. https://forms.gle/qP3Ab7dSvFi2SjVNA
Also please make sure you follow the Grey Sabbs Instagram and the Reps Comm Instagram as we will have an Eid-themed insta story on the day itself 😊
See you there!

Good morning! Given the recent news we have put together a resource of useful contacts that you can use if you feel like you need support or just fancy chatting to someone about how you are feeling 💙 When term starts again this coming week we will continue with Skype drop ins at the usual times and you can always contact us via dm or email whilst we are working to fix the anonymous messaging system!
We hope that you have all had a relaxing break but we understand that nothing feels very relaxing right now so if you want to chat about anything at all, the Welfare team are still here to support you ✨

Grey College: Wrapped Up 2019/20 A quick look back at another amazing year for Grey! Thank you for being a part of it.
Tomorrow morning, Tuesday 14th July at 11am, the College and JCR are hosting a racism listening event.
A lot of work has gone into arranging this, including inviting EDI experts. The College would value the contributions of both current and former students, to hear your experiences of racism in society and at Durham University.
The event will include introductions from Prof. Tom Allen (Master), Leo Harris (JCR President) and some special guests. This will be followed by group discussions, and plenary talks with some suggested outcomes for what Grey can do to tackle racism in our community.
You don’t need to say very much if you do come: just that you are interested in being involved. You are very welcome to add suggestions for action if you wish.
We're hoping this can help form a more solid base for what further steps Grey can take to promote equality, inclusion and celebrate diversity.
All you need to do to get the invitation is to send Prof. Allen an email to [email protected], with a message that says ‘Invitation request’ in the subject line.
We look forward to welcoming you tomorrow.
