St Chad's College

Our wonderful Chapel Choir has just returned from their residency Gloucester Cathedral They were delighted to receive a warm welcome and enjoyed singing for four days of services which included music by Stanford, Harris, Taverner, Mawby, Todd, Darke, Forbes L’Estrange and more! They also enjoyed the opportunity to meet alumni who came along to support them and to celebrate together at the end of a busy year. We are hugely grateful for all they do throughout the year!

The Durham Fringe Durham Fringe Festival was a wonderful showcase of so much local and regional talent but a highlight for us was undoubtedly seeing Chadsian, Sam Trounson (Theology, 1974), in a fantastic outdoor production of Romeo and Juliet in Castle’s Fellows Garden. What a wonderful treat on a beautiful summer evening! Congratulations to everyone involved!

Our Chapel Choir is delighted to have received this wonderful letter from Her Majesty The Queen ahead of their forthcoming trip to Gloucester. The choir will sing services in Gloucester Cathedral this weekend, Saturday 8 - Tuesday 11 August - swipe to see the service schedule and repertoire.

Chad’s student and incoming Organ Scholar was fortunate to meet Her Majesty earlier this summer and told her about the Chapel Choir and their forthcoming Residency in Gloucester, after which she very kindly wrote to wish them “the best of British luck”!

Weddings at St Chad’s are a special part of our summer and even more so when the bride is a Chad’s alumna! It has been wonderful to catch up with everyone who returned for annastroinski and Andrew’s big day this weekend. We hope you all had a wonderful day and wish you all the very best for this new and exciting chapter!

Special congratulations today to Alistair Jenkins, our Finance and Operations Director, who graduated today (Level 7, with distinction) in Business Administration - achieved while working full-time. Wonderful to have Alistair’s family here to celebrate his achievement.
