“Dream bigger than feels comfortable.
Take risks while you’re young enough for failure simply to become further education.
Embrace obstacles - they are often the path.”
Some wise words from Professor Ian Baggett, Palatinate alumni and long term supporter of Team Durham, as well as a mentor to our student athletes.
As our 2026/2027 term opens, we hope his words inspire new arrivals as they begin their journey with Durham University!
As Ian says, “if he could, you can”.
