Yesterday, our Year 6 children received their SATs results, and we couldn't be prouder of everything they have achieved.

These results reflect not only their hard work and determination, but also their resilience, positive attitude and commitment throughout their primary school journey. Every pupil should feel incredibly proud of their efforts and the progress they have made.

🌞 Hot Weather Reminder – Next Week 🌞

With the warm weather forecast next week (temperatures reaching the high 20s), we want to make sure all children stay safe and comfortable while at school.
Please can all children come to school with:
✅ A water bottle – MUST be clearly named
✅ A hat – MUST be clearly named
✅ Sunscreen applied before school
❗ Please ensure EVERYTHING is clearly named ❗
We have over 400 children, so unnamed items are very difficult to return if they are misplaced.
We are unable to apply sun cream to children. However, children may reapply it themselves if needed, so if they bring sun cream into school, this must also be clearly named. Using an all-day or once-daily sunscreen before school may be the easiest option.
At Opal, we are very mindful of the heat:
☀️ We have lots of shaded areas available
☀️ Children will be outside for no longer than 30 minutes at a time
☀️ Staff will continue to monitor conditions closely to keep everyone safe

Penguins have been learning about Andy Warhol. We made our own pictures inspired by his work.

To support their current topic Our Planet Nursery had a visit from Emma’s Exotic Animals. The children loved meeting the animals and finding out cool facts about them all.
