First week of summer holidays. Happy days. With returning siblings, various holidays and my own tribe off it's a blast. How well they all adapt to change, the kindness of older ones and adoration from younger ones the mixed ages noteably enhancing motivation, experiance and communication.I love the crafts and activities aimed to engage everyone. We've made chai seed putty. Summer cards, fed the donkeys obvs 😊 bring it week 2!!!

These filled days are my fav days and I love setting up a tuff tray and seeing it enjoyed so much more. Best days are Awsome days

Such fun with sports day vibes today making obstacle courses and bowling. Creativity and discriptive vocab, encouraging team work to design a course. It's infectious once we start inspiring each other and igniting curiosity and competition. Staying safe in this fantastic weather we've had a great last couple of weeks, fishing to colour sort and count, baking and feeding the donkeys.

Wowsers its elschorchio today 🥵. Not what we're used to, but plenty of people live in these climates continuing their 'eat, sleep, work, repeat' lives. We're taking it in our stride, reading upto date guidelines and advice and enjoying the sun safetly and comfortably.

We've had a great day, park to ourselves, fun finding a shady safe escape for a blanket with many a ref to 'shadowlands' Bluey episode. We set a timer to remind us to come out of the sun, cool doen and have a drink. This became a fun game. Actually ended up there so much longer with a nice breezy escape for songs and story time. Finding 'treasure' for a picture. Follow the leader and spotting letters in signs walking. Happy, learning, remembering and playing days. 🌞🌞🤩😍

A busy week full of opportunity to cover the prime areas of learning through fun themes encouraging practice and challenge. Also making the safer sleeping changes work for every child and recognising not only are we all different but so is every day!. Draw on experience, know individual children well to help them and most importantly keep your children safe as we would our own 😍. Today falling asleep in the pushchair out walking was most effective and transfered safely, happily and comfortably to sleep area as per regulation. Well done, we're getting in the flow.

I loved discovering 'Power of a smile day' yesterday. How true it is! and with it being loneliness awareness week we enjoyed a positive focus today. Mat time with our emotion stones, learnimg some new songs and ryhmes ' I smile when i wake up and smile to start my day'. Great opportunity to think about what makes us the same and celebrate what might make us different.

The end of a busy AwesomeMinds week. Feeling proud of everyone welcoming a new face and equally of them settling in happy, confident and enjoying our day. Food safety day was big in our setting chatting about the safety of allergies amongst us, great to hear how well they've listened, recall and care for one another. Every child is unique and every child is welcome, included and recognised. Our kindness, yoga and mindfulness routine reminding us to support each other and encourage positivity.
World Ocean day was perfect having driven our ocean June theme. Loved the shaving foam idea, we adapted it using pippets to add blue colouring, lolly sticks to mix and then fishing out sea creatures with nets. Fab control and strength. Have an Awesome weekend!

An Awesome special first week of a new month. With this months Ocean theme we began with crafting jelly fish. Had fun adapting a song to 'the crabs go pinching 2 by 2...'
Picnic yoga, spotting numbers, a viaduct and a train out walking. We recapped what we learned to stay safe as part of child safety. Introducing new ideas, encouraging their own and challenging them with enthusiatic support keeping them motivated with lots of play and fun doing it. Happy weekend everyone.

Thrilled to start a fresh week tomorrow, Hello June.

Hello 2026, here we go, reflecting on last year, to grow and keep upto date in providing the best I can for children and families I'm lucky to work with.
First week back after a busy and special holiday, there was a warm positive welcome for all my Awesome mindees returning. Free play and garden fun to ease stress and reconnect. Gradually building back in familiar routines from yoga, baking to songs and stories building confidence and comfort.
