Today we had our SSP Sportshall Athletics Finals. Well dont to everyone that took part and congratulations to St Margaret’s Primary🥇on taking the overall win and Newker Primary🥈who were runners up . Both will now go forward to represent us at the Durham County Finals. Youth Sport Trust

We have had a fantastic first day back- despite the rain! The children settled in beautifully- a huge well done to all, especially our brand-new Reception starters.
It’s been wonderful to see friendships rekindled, classrooms buzzing, and our school family reunited.

visited our school on Wednesday, as part of the Durham Brass Festival. We were all up dancing and singing and had so much fun! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

🌱💚 Our amazing Waste Warriors had a brilliant morning at Re-fuse Café, celebrating their incredible efforts to tackle food waste!
They took part in fun and educational workshops – composting, pea shoot planting, smoothie making, badge designing, and a challenging quiz. 🥤🪴🎨🧠
A huge shoutout to Mrs Stoker for all of her work with the children. She and Mrs Bell were bursting with pride as our children confidently presented our project in front of students and teachers from 5 other schools. ✨👏
🎉 Special congratulations to St Margaret's, recognised for the biggest reduction in plate waste! A fantastic achievement by our whole school community.
Here's to even more exciting Eco projects next year! 🌍💪

Last week our Y2 children visited St Margaret's Care Home to share their beautiful voices with the residents. We did our own version of 'Assembly Bangers' and had them singing and clapping along. Here's a snippet of one of our favourites!
