Summer Scientist booking system Junior Scientist is a free event for 4-11 year-olds and their parents, which gives a fun introduction to the mind and brain.

🌟 NEW Accessible Session 🌟

This year, we're delighted to introduce a NEW accessible session at Junior Scientist! This session is designed for children who may find standard sessions overwhelming.

What to expect:
👥 A reduced-capacity session to create a quieter and more supportive environment.
🎧 Additional sensory supports available throughout the session.
🤝 Volunteer buddies available to provide support for children with additional needs.

We're excited to offer this new option as part of our commitment to making Junior Scientist more accessible and inclusive. This is our first year running the accessible session, and we hope to continue developing and expanding it in the future.

Bookings will be open very very soon! As a reminder, Junior Scientist will run on the 25th, 26th, 27th of August - children aged 4-11 can come to Collingwood College to engage in super fun, educational games and activities as well as take part in research studies. It’s all for free! 🥳

Hello everyone!!!

We are once again so pleased to to announce that Junior Scientist is returning this summer, and once again, bigger and shinier than before! ☺️

We will be running across 3 days this year– the 25th, 26th and 27th of August (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) to bring super fun activities alongside research studies for 4-11 year olds.

Same place – Collingwood College, Durham University

There will again be new activities, new studies and new goodies !🤩🤩

As was the case before – there will be morning or afternoon sessions to sign up to, and it is all free 😁

Junior Scientist Announcement!

We are very sorry to say that unfortunately JS won’t be running this year. This was a really difficult decision to make, and it came down to not having enough resources to run this year. We promise to return next summer, bigger and better. In the meantime, we hope to be able to offer some alternative JS events over the coming months – so please do stay tuned and we will definitely see you soon!
