🏳️‍⚧🏳️‍⚧ Today is Transgender Day of Visibility, a day we recognise that trans, non binary and gender diverse people not only exist but are so valid and wonderful.

Many people will celebrate and come together in their own way. Some aren't able to be as visible as they'd want, but this makes them no less valid, it means that we need to work harder for all trans people around the world.

We think of those who are in countries where existing means imprisonment and worse. We see you and we love you.

We ask allies to step forwards to protect and provide safety for our trans communities, challenge damaging stereotypes and fight dehumanising government action.

Today we will marching through Newcastle from 6pm and gathering outside of the Civic Centre in Newcastle for a celebration of trans visibility, we hope to see you there.

Join us for Cake in the Training Restaurant next Friday all in aid of MacMillan Cancer Research from 10am. Bake off competition entries can be dropped off from 9:30am - prizes for both staff and students.
