Henrys House

It’s back-to-school week at Henry’s House!🎒

For those who don’t know us, Henry’s House is based in the heart of Chester-le-Street. We offer alternative education and bespoke programmes for pupils with social and emotional needs, including those who may be disengaged from mainstream education.

Our nurturing programmes help learners build confidence, develop essential life skills and prepare for the world of work, while continuing to strengthen their core skills.

We’ve been looking forward to welcoming back the fantastic young people who make Henry’s House so special. We wish everyone the very best of luck for the new term! 🌟

Day can bring a mixture of emotions- excitement, relief, uncertainty, pride, or worry about what comes next.
For some young people, the traditional education journey doesn’t always fit and that’s okay. At Henry’s House, we believe every child and young person deserves the opportunity to learn, develop and build a brighter future with support that works for them.
We launched our Alternative Education Provision in 2024, and it has proved to be a positive and successful option for young people, including those who are disengaged from mainstream school.
Based in the heart of Chester-le-Street, County Durham, we support pupils with social and emotional needs, offering bespoke programmes.

Whatever GCSE Results Day brings, there are alternative pathways and opportunities available to help young people move forward.
