Now that I’m mobile, after the Easter holidays I’ll be opening a limited number of daytime lesson slots for home visits during school hours.

These sessions are ideal for:

🎵 Home educated children and teenagers
🎵 Adult learners
🎵 Learners who feel more comfortable in their own home environment
🎵 Anyone looking for a more flexible daytime lesson option

My teaching style is always fun, person-centred and adapted to the individual, so lessons can be tailored to confidence building, exam prep, creativity, additional needs, or simply learning for enjoyment.

As we reach the end of the year, I’ve been reflecting on how incredibly fortunate I am to teach such a thoughtful and committed group of students.

I want to thank all the parents for the trust you place in me and for the support, encouragement, and consistency you give your children week after week. To my students, thank you for the effort, patience, and enthusiasm you bring to each lesson — every small step forward, at your own pace, is something to be proud of.

I care so much about making sure every student feels seen, supported, and valued for who they are. That often means adapting lessons to suit different learning needs, taking things at the right pace, and building confidence alongside skills. Being trusted with each child’s musical journey is something I hold with great care, and it’s a privilege I’m genuinely grateful for.

I’m really looking forward to continuing our work together in the year ahead and seeing where each student’s musical journey takes them. ❤️ 🎹

🎹 Welcome to Molly Elton Music School! 🎶

I offer friendly, one-to-one piano lessons for ages 4+. Whether your child is just starting out or you’re an adult picking it up again as a hobby, I’d love to be part of your musical journey.

I’ve been playing piano since I was 5 and started teaching at 16. My teaching style is relaxed and child-led — especially for little ones — so they enjoy their lessons and have fun learning a new skill they might fall in love with!

For younger children, I recommend 30-minute sessions — the perfect length to stay focused while still having fun.

• £34 for 1 hour

All books are provided — all you’ll need is a piano or keyboard at home. 😊

🎉 Another Exciting Update! 🎉

From September, I’ll be joining the Durham Home Education Community Hub (DHECH) to deliver weekly music sessions as part of their fantastic timetable! I’m really excited to begin working with more home-educated children and to be part of such a supportive, creative community.

This marks a really special milestone for me as my little business continues to grow — and it wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support I’ve received along the way.

To every parent who trusted me, to every student who made teaching a joy, and to all of you who’ve shared my name, recommended me to others, or sung my praises — thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support has helped me turn my passion into something real, and I’m so grateful.

🌟 I’m also really excited to share some news — I’ve officially completed my Level 3 Certificate in Special Educational Needs (SEN) with Learning Curve Group! 🎉

This goes hand-in-hand with my Level 2 Counselling Skills, and together they’ve really strengthened the way I work with children and young people in my lessons.

For me, it’s never about pressure — it’s about creating a space where each student feels safe, encouraged and understood. Every child learns differently, and sometimes I’ll adapt things mid-lesson if I notice a different approach will help them shine. This qualification has given me even more strategies, practical ideas and confidence to support students with a wide range of needs, whether that’s building focus, easing anxiety, or just finding the right way in for their style of learning.

As a mum myself, I know how important it is to feel that your child is not only being taught, but also supported as an individual. I love being able to offer that — and now with this qualification, I feel even more equipped to do so.

This is a big milestone in my journey towards supporting SEN and safeguarding, and I’m so proud to be building on something I care so deeply about 💙

And now my second born is away! Will she listen to her own mother to be her teacher? Time will tell 😂

In a couple weeks time I will have spaces on a Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 10am - 2pm. If you or anyone you know is interested in learning piano, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I teach from the ages of 5+. I do ABRSM grades in piano and music theory and have 100% success rate. Equally, if the learning is just for fun, even better, the pressure is off!

I am a very relaxed teacher and I like to tailor my style to each individual as no one learns the same! Being diagnosed with ADHD myself I know what it's like to feel different as a child and not learn in traditional ways. I strive to create a safe space for all I teach so that learning is fun and stress free. I have some beautiful reviews from past and current students/parents so please do read through them.

Singing and Piano lessons available from April 15th!

If you have a child that absolutely loves to sing but really struggles with their confidence and/or singing in front of people - one of my main aims in my lessons is to make your child feel in a safe space, so that they can express any emotion they need to. By creating this safe space, their confidence will gradually increase. :)
