Durham County Council has launched a public engagement exercise to invite feedback on a travel improvement scheme through Framwellgate Moor and Pity Me. They would like to understand people's views on the proposed improvements and are encouraging people to provide their feedback.

Paper surveys and scheme plans are available at Framwellgate Moor Youth and Community Centre or by requesting a copy from the council at [email protected].

People can give their views between Tuesday, 22 September, and 5 pm on Tuesday, 20 October.

Community Litter Pick this afternoon as part of the County Durham Big Spring Clean we collected 11 bags of litter, Thank you to the county councillors and parish councillors and members of the community who helped.

Tonight, I had the absolute pleasure to be invited to meet up with the WI craft group, who for the last year have worked extremely hard to produce a community banner, commissioned by the Parish Council
The banner was presented to myself as Chair of FMPC and will take pride of place hanging in our Pavilion building
I am so proud to receive the banner and wish to place on record my absolute gratitude for all the hard work and time gifted freely, from all those members of the WI involved in this project

Important Notice:

As some of you may be aware we had a food rating hygiene cerificate published.

The day of the inspection, sadly the owners and 2 senior managers were not at the business and were away out of the country dealing with a family emergency.

The inspection rating was poor due to a lack of understanding of the staff present on the day of what information the inspector required.

Since then we have had a subsequent visit from the inspectors - please see attached report.

Everything is now in place and the inspectors are very happy with what they see and the processes we follow.

Be rest assured that we always aim to achieve the highest standards when running our restaurant - our customers come first.
