This week, the children in reception have been learning about autumn fruits. They have enjoyed exploring the school grounds, looking for autumn treasures to bring back into the classroom. We also made delicious apple crumble and shared it with our friends. 🍏

Earlier this month, a small group of children had the fantastic opportunity to visit T C R The Hub🌿✨

During their visit, they took part in a variety of exciting activities, including canoeing, orienteering, den building and archery. 🛶🏹

The children had a wonderful time developing their confidence, teamwork and problem-solving skills, while trying new challenges and supporting one another along the way. 💪🌟

What a fantastic experience! 👏

🤸‍♀️ Gymnastics Fun! 🤸‍♂️

This week, we have been developing our partner balancing skills! The children worked together to explore counter balancing, learning how to use both push and pull tension to create stable and controlled balances with a partner.

🎻✨ Class 2’s First Violin Lesson! ✨🎻

What a fantastic first violin lesson Class 2 had with the wonderful Mrs Sellars! 🎶

The children learned how to hold their violins correctly and had lots of fun practising how to strum the strings using their fingers. They were excited to explore their instruments and make their very first sounds! 🎻🌟

A huge thank you to Mrs Sellars for introducing Class 2 to the wonderful world of music! 💕🎶

🌋 A VOLCANO ERUPTED IN CLASS 2 THIS MORNING! 🌋

What an exciting start to our new writing unit, Escape from Pompeii! 📚✨

This morning, Class 2 watched live footage of a volcanic eruption, sparking lots of excitement, curiosity and discussion. The children became little investigators, thinking carefully about what they could see, hear and imagine. 👀🌋

They then came up with some important questions they would like to find the answers to as they begin exploring the fascinating story of Pompeii.

What an incredible hook into our new writing unit! We can’t wait to see where this adventure takes us… 🔥🏛️📖
