See The Chapel Choir of University College, Durham in action as they travel down to London and Windsor for services next week!
Description:
Join Castle Chapel Choir next week for their services in London and Windsor; their last engagements of the summer before the new academic year. They will be singing music from the past year of Chapel services, as well as music by College alumni Edward Bairstow and Francis Jackson, whose music they recorded as part of their most recent album, Messages, released in April.

It’s been a huge year here at Durham, with record audiences, awards and events!
Have a look at some of the the stuff we’ve been up to this year…
We start at the end of year, where 12 DSM societies came together to perform a sold out concert at Durham Cathedral titled “Masquerade”.
Durham University Big Band and Durham University Jazz Orchestra joined up to celebrate Christmas the jazzy way.
A concert so successful that it won them Best Concert at the annual Palatinate Awards!
Northern Lights at the the ICCA Finals in New York City. Coming 2nd, they rounded off an incredible year which earned them Music Society of the Year at the Palatinate Awards!
Catch them at Edinburgh Fringe this month as they perform 13 shows this August!
Durham University Orchestral Society and Durham University Choral Society came together to perform Verdi’s Requiem. With no spare seat in the cathedral, this was definitely a highlight of the academic year.
Durham University Classical Ensemble performed Mendelssohn’s majestic Elijah at Elvet Methodist Church.
Durham Dynamics highlighted a great year with a trip to Newcastle, as they sung a Vocal Jam at The Grove.
Durham University Palatinate Orchestra performed the huge Tchaikovsky 6th Symphony (“Pathétique”) at Durham Cathedral.
Dunelm Consort & Players played and sung a fantastic performance of Pucell’s King Arthur at Castle Great Hall.
