We had an amazing day in the woods today!

Starting next week, 4 days of 90 minute classes to book on to with 4 different themes. Suitable for children from 1-11 years old and their families.

February half term Dens and Pancakes classes delivered at two Gateshead schools.

All classes are 90 minutes long and suitable for 1 to 10 year olds.
Help make and decorate delicious american style pancakes (vegan option available) over the campfire 🔥. Learn how to use ropes and tarpaulins, how to make a den and create tiny monster homes.
All of the traditional Muddy Monsters play stations will be available too, including hammock and rope swing. Available at either the amazing Forest School area at Lobley Hill Primary School or the NEW forest school area at St Aidan’s Primary School.

Come along and learn how to make amazing dens with sticks, cord and fabric to hide inside. Explore different knots and kinds of den to make the perfect cosy shelter.
Enjoy toasting a marshmallow around the fire before making it into a delicious s’more (everyone's favourite).
Explore how to make different types of boats to float down the long gutter river.
Explore the amazing forest school site and explore the mud kitchen, water area, mud painting, watercolour painting, rope swing, hammock and story area.
Suitable for confident walkers to 9 years old and their families.

90 minute s’mores, boat and den making classes.

Look at this amazing ‘skulk of foxes’ carved by the amazing Year 6 children from Brighton Avenue Primary School in Gateshead.
We split the wood using a bill hook before using sheath knives to do various different types of cut to create the different parts of the animals. They were very proud of their efforts. The children across the school love their Forest school sessions each half term.

This term we plan to learn lots of new Forest school games and have lots of nature crafts and activities to experience.
