🍂 Welcome Back to Dunoon School Hostel! 🍁

It’s been wonderful welcoming our young people back for the new academic year, and especially lovely getting to know our new residents. Everyone is settling in brilliantly, with new friendships forming and familiar faces reconnecting.

We’re already celebrating lots of achievements, from merits and progress at school to personal milestones, including driving theory test success and fantastic performances in shinty! We’re incredibly proud of the hard work, determination and enthusiasm our young people are showing🌟

A little reminder that our Study Teachers are available every evening to support with homework, revision and study skills. Study teachers are paid through the Parent Partnership. If you have any questions about payment or need further information, please email the Parent Partnership Treasurer.

We’ve also launched our new Hostel Respect Charter, helping us continue to build a positive, supportive and respectful hostel community. At our next Hostel Council, we’ll also be electing our new Culture Champion, giving young people another opportunity to have their voices heard and help shape hostel life.

We’d love to see as many parents and carers there as possible!

🍁 Here’s to another year of learning, achievement, friendship, fun and plenty of happy memories!

Dear Parent/Guardian
The hostel has been invited to take part in a football tournament against our sister hostel in Oban and we are pleased to confirm that the tournament will take place in Oban on Thursday 4th June.
We are currently seeking support with sponsorship for team strips. If you know of anyone who may be willing and able to help with this, we would be extremely grateful. It would be fantastic for our team to attend the tournament proudly and smartly kitted out.
If you think you may be able to assist, or know someone who could, please feel free to get in touch.
Thank you for your continued support ⚽️🏆
