Today buildings across Scotland are turning purple to mark DLD awareness day. We are delighted that both Dunoon Pier and The Castle Museum are turning purple in Dunoon.

Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) is a hidden but common disability that affects 1 in 14 people causing difficulties understanding and using language for no known reason. It can bring challenges that other people might not see or understand, but it never defines who our children are or what they are capable of achieving.

We will be raising money for 26/27 school trips through a series of fundraising events. This Friday marks the first of the events which is a dress down and donate to dance day. Pupil's are invited to wear their own clothes and bring in any donations from from friends, families or community members as we dance our way through the last day of term. School trips are becoming increasingly expensive and therefore these fundraising events are vital to ensure our pupils do not miss out on a variety of learning experiences.
