We have a wonderful new teacher to introduce to you - Sarah Carlisle. We are excited to announce that Sarah has opened up some availability with us on a Thursday - 3 slots are already gone. Book now by sending us a DM or email to secure your weekly lesson with her. We'll leave you with some words of her own:

"Hello! My name is Sarah Carlisle, and I teach piano at The Musician Academy.

I’ve loved music for as long as I can remember. My dad taught me to play piano, and I kept it up all the way through school, playing in orchestras, choirs, and ensembles. When I started, I could never have imagined how far piano would take me. I’ve had the privilege to play in venues like the Ulster Hall, have worked alongside incredibly talented musicians, and have gained an ABRSM diploma in piano performance. I love playing at weddings and events, making that special day just a little bit more memorable. I also regularly play piano and organ in churches, which has led to some wonderful relationships and opportunities.

I’m a big believer that classically trained doesn’t have to mean stuffy or boring. While my background is mostly focused on Romantic piano music such as Chopin and Schubert, you’re just as likely to find me playing “Bohemian Rhapsody” or “Crocodile Rock”. When you play what you love, you’ll be amazed how quickly you grow in confidence and ability.

I have over six years experience running my own teaching business, working with young and adult students alike. I have experience teaching from complete beginner, to Grade 7, and am proud to have maintained a 100% pass rate. One thing that strikes me when I talk to people is how many adults say “I wish I had learned an instrument when I was younger”. It’s never too late, but why not take that first step today?"

Check out this amazing performance of George Gershwin's "The Man I Love" by our piano teacher, James!

James is a previous student of ours and we are delighted to have him onboard as part of our teaching team!

Here's a bitesize bio from James:

"Hello! My name is James Cacayan and I teach piano at The Musician Academy.

Music has always been significant in my life as I grew up singing and playing piano. I also involve myself in my school orchestra and jazz band being the main pianist and also involve myself in my school choir.

I have also achieved my ABRSM diploma in piano and my grade 8 in singing over the last couple of years.

Teaching for me is a new experience and I try my best to ensure my students can make good progress and thrive in what they learn!

Otherwise in my free time I love playing basketball and spending time with loved ones whether it’s friends or family."

James teaches piano at our Lisburn premises.

If you would like to book in for music lessons, join one of our classes or hire our rehearsal space please do not hesitate to contact us. We have 2 locations; Lisburn and Dunmurry.
