Social Media House Rules - www.fife.gov.uk/HouseRules

Our social media channels feature a variety of information from our services and partners, keeping you informed and up to date with what's happening across Fife. We're here to help in any way that we can, and we will always aim to be supportive and respectful in our posts and any comments we respond to. We expect the same of all those contributing to our page. We want our social media channels to be safe, healthy, and open places for discussion and the exchange of views and we have the following house rules to help support that.

- All users must comply with the social media platform's terms of use as well as our own terms of use
- We answer enquiries/messages as soon as possible within working hours
- We will remove, in whole or in part, posts that we feel are inappropriate – for example bullying or harassment - or discriminatory against any individual or group
- You are wholly responsible for any content you post including content you choose to share

We will remove messages (where function allows) and report and/or block users on our social media channels who post messages at us which we believe are:

- abusive or obscene
- deceptive or misleading
- in violation of any intellectual property rights, including copyright
- in violation of any law or regulation
- spam and off-topic content (persistent negative and/or abusive posts in which the aim is to provoke a response)
- promotional material, including links to external websites and promotions

Anyone repeatedly engaging with us using content or language which falls into the above categories will be blocked and/or reported to the associated social media platform. We will not tolerate or respond to abusive messages. We must always remain politically neutral on social media which is why council officers are unable to reply to, endorse or engage with, any content that is of a party political nature. Political issues can be discussed with local councillors.

From Dunfermline Carnegie Libraries and Galleries

The Autumn holidays are here and that means it's time for the next HQ Past-Port Explorer programme to begin. The theme is Picture This and it ties in with RSA200, marking 200 years of the Royal Scottish Academy. Visit us here at DCLG to take part in one stage of the challenge, then visit our friends at the Abbey Church of Dunfermline, Dunfermline Abbey Nave and the Andrew Carnegie Birthplace Musuem to complete their activities.

It's up to you whether you visit each venue in one day or over several and, best of all, it's free to participate. You can Pick up a Past-Port and begin the challenge at any of the four venues and remember to get it stamped after each activity

🌟Fantastic Friday🌟

Wow! This first term has just flown in. Everyone has been so busy that, even although it feels like it’s only been a few weeks since we came back after the summer holidays, I think we all deserve a break. The children who shared their successes at Fantastic Friday showed no signs of slowing down if their achievements are anything to go by. Well done to everyone. We’re looking forward to hearing about all your holiday adventures when we welcome everyone back on Monday, 26th of October.

🌟Fantastic Friday🌟

We had the busiest Fantastic Friday yet! Lots of children came along with medals and certificates recognising their success, and what was really lovely was the respectful way they listened carefully to the achievements of other pupils. Well done everyone!

Lost Property

Our lost property boxes are overflowing with things that have been left lying around. Please can you come and look through them for coats cardigans, jumpers, wellies etc that your child or children may have left in school since August. We have no room to store clothing, so we would appreciate the boxes being empty by the end of term.

🌟Fantastic Friday🌟

In amongst the excitement of the MacMillan Coffee Morning, we were able to hear from pupils who had been successful this week both in and out of school. Our newest pupils were especially keen to share their writing and reading skills with the others which they just loved. Well done everyone!

☕️Coffee Morning Success🎉

Today the children in P3, P3/4 and P4 held a MacMillan Coffee Morning. This amazing event was the culmination of weeks of planning and hard work. The event was a massive success. Thanks needs to be given to the whole school community - to those who baked or handed in cakes, those who helped all morning at the event, those who donated money or gave their child money, all the children from the classes involved, and to all those who came along! An enormous £1039.69 was raised for the charity!! 🎊
