Carnegie Primary School and Nursery

Carnegie Primary School and Nursery Our school motto is ‘Growing Together, Soaring to Success’. Our school values are Respect, Kindness and Ambition.

At Carnegie Primary School we aim to ensure that there is a welcoming atmosphere and a positive ethos throughout the school, and that all children are educated in a safe, secure, happy and health- promoting environment. We hope through these values to foster a community of tolerance, care and growth mindset. The learning and achievement of all children is valued and high aspirations and ambitions

are actively promoted. All children are enabled to develop strong foundations of knowledge and understanding and become successful learners, confident individuals, effective contributors and responsible citizens. Each child is brought to a deeper understanding of their rights and responsibilities and is helped to appreciate the diversity of other cultures and beliefs. All staff members are committed to pupil welfare. Please do not hesitate to contact the school at any time in order that we share fully in the education, progress and wellbeing of your child. We appreciate that much can be achieved when close partnerships are forged between school and home. We look forward to working with you in order that your child may enjoy a happy and fulfilling school life. Social Media House Rules - www.fife.gov.uk/HouseRules

Our social media channels feature a variety of information from our services and partners, keeping you informed and up to date with what's happening across Fife. We're here to help in any way that we can, and we will always aim to be supportive and respectful in our posts and any comments we respond to. We expect the same of all those contributing to our page. We want our social media channels to be safe, healthy, and open places for discussion and the exchange of views and we have the following house rules to help support that.

- All users must comply with the social media platform's terms of use as well as our own
terms of use.

- We answer enquiries/messages as soon as possible within working hours: 0900 to 1700hrs
Monday to Friday.

- We will remove, in whole or in part, posts that we feel are inappropriate – for example
bullying or harassment - or discriminatory against any individual or group

- You are wholly responsible for any content you post including content you choose to share

- We will remove messages (where function allows) and report and/or block users on our
social media channels who post messages at us which we believe are:

- abusive or obscene
- deceptive or misleading
- in violation of any intellectual property rights, including copyright
- in violation of any law or regulation
- spam and off-topic content (persistent negative and/or abusive posts in which the aim is
to provoke a response)
- promotional material, including links to external websites and promotions

Anyone repeatedly engaging with us using content or language which falls into the above categories will be blocked and/or reported to the associated social media platform. We will not tolerate or respond to abusive messages. We must always remain politically neutral on social media which is why council officers are unable to reply to, endorse or engage with, any content that is of a party political nature. Political issues can be discussed with local councillors.

A massive well done to the children who performed at the Alhambra Theatre on Tuesday evening in the Christmas Concert to help raise money for the Dunfermline Children’s Gala. Our Glee Club and Choir took to the stage for a very powerful performance! We were so proud of them! 🎄🎅🏻❤️🖤

This has got us in the festive mood! Check out the photos.
