Congratulations to our two new SSERC Honorary Fellows: Frank Creamer and Greg Dempster. Both received their awards at the SSERC celebration event held at the ARC, Glasgow University, on 30 September 2026.

Our hands-on ELISA simulation lets learners run a complete test from “patient” sample through to a clear colour-change result.

Learners follow the authentic ELISA workflow — including controls, wash steps, primary and secondary antibody binding — before interpreting their results using colour changes designed to reflect real ELISA reagents.

A great way to make immunology and diagnostic testing practical, engaging and accessible. 🔬

“SSERC is the organisation’s name. Although historically derived from Scottish Schools Equipment Research Centre, SSERC is no longer an abbreviation or acronym and should not be expanded.”

We are delighted to announce the recipients of the 2026 Honorary Fellowship Awards from SSERC.

The award recognises individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to STEM learning and training in Scotland and who embody the values of SSERC.

Today sees the retirement from SSERC of our Education Manager for Physics, Norman Bethune.
