We are delighted to announce the recipients of the 2026 Honorary Fellowship Awards from SSERC.

The award recognises individuals who have made an exceptional contribution to STEM learning and training in Scotland and who embody the values of SSERC.

Congratulations to Frank Creamer and Greg Dempster on this well-deserved recognition.

Today sees the retirement from SSERC of our Education Manager for Physics, Norman Bethune. Today marked the culmination of a significant professional journey for the delegates in Cohort 3 of the SSERC Leadership in STEM Education course. Over the past year, participants have engaged in a wide range of leadership activities through face-to-face sessions, online learning, self-study and, importantly, their own critical collaborative professional enquiries.
