Today was my last day childminding. It feels very surreal but I am excited to start this next chapter.
A huge thank you to all my parents over the years for trusting me to care for your children. It's not easy to leave your children with someone.
And to the children I have had the pleasure to care for....you guys are amazing! I have loved seeing you grow and develop over the years.

This morning in the children asked to play with the water tray inside because "Our hands will get cold outside".
Water play has many benefits (as well as being fun):
•Gross and fine motor skill development
•Early mathematics
•Problem solving
•Language development
• Social skills

Hope everyone had a wonderful time over the holidays. I'm so glad to be getting back into a routine.
Today the children were engrossed with the playdoh. Developing their fine motor skills, numeracy skills and understanding shapes. As well as developing knowledge about colours, understanding how to share and most importantly, having fun! 😀

What a gorgeous walk we had today.
Stomping in all the leaves listening to them crunch under our boots and then picking some pretty ones to take home and make pictures with them. We even managed to see the swans in the pond which was definitely a highlight. 🦢

This is what could be heard whilst playing:
"Look, I can make a ball too".
"We have a heart shape cutter".
"I will roll it like a sausage".
